Two New Children's Books by Gayle C. Krause

Coming in fall 2018 from Clearfork/Spork Publishing - DADDY, CAN YOU SEE THE MOON?

A young boy and his soldier dad share special moments by looking at the moon each night. But when Dad comes home a wounded warrior his son discovers it’s the power of love that kept them connected all along, and he plays a major part in his father’s recovery.

Written in rhyming couplets, this serious topic touches the heartstrings and has a happy ending.
Suitable for every family that overcomes hardship.

And releasing Spring 2019 - ONCE UPON A TWISTED TALE.

The Gingerbread Man may have escaped from everyone else, but when he meets Little Red Riding Hood, he’s not so lucky.

When Rumplestiltskin solves the back pain problem of the princess who sleeps on twenty mattresses, he becomes the unlikely King.

And Jack’s giant becomes the Emperor’s bodyguard. Those swindlers better find a cloak that makes them invisible.

From a frog that thinks he’s Sleeping Beauty to a rapping fairy godmother who sends Cinderella to a Hip-Hop Ball, these poems beg to be read out loud. Various forms are included in this 30-poem collection, each infused with a combination of fairy tales that result in silly, serious, or sentimental stories.

Children can participate in the readings as small skits of hilarious fun or compare the fractured rhyming tales to the original ones, as per the National Reading Common Core standards.

TWICE BETRAYED, a new MG Historical Fiction Novel by Gayle C. Krause

So happy to announce that another one of the KIDLIT crew has a new book published.

Gayle C. Krause has just had her MG Historical Fiction novel published.

With the spark of independence crackling in Colonial Philadelphia, three girls dress as boys and head to the river to put a perilous plan into action, but only two return. The third, a milliner’s assistant, is found drowned, with gold in her hems, coded spy letters in her bodice, and a journal implicating another sewing apprentice in the treacherous plot.

All eyes turn toward Perdy Rogers, Betsy Ross’ thirteen-year-old apprentice, but she’s no spy!  With her life on the line, she struggles to untangle herself from the web of deceit and learns the hard way that freedom, whether an individual’s or a country’s, comes at a cost.

Book is available on Amazon.com.
